Em 1989 desenvolvi uma técnica em pintura baseada no processo de monotipia seca. Sobre uma folha de plástico transparente, são pintados com várias camadas de tinta acrílica os diversos motivos, elementos e áreas sólidas de cor criados individualmente.
Estas camadas justapostas formam uma película suficientemente espessa e resistente para que possam ser transferidas para a tela de algodão e/ou linho após a aplicação de um medium acrílico.
Esta técnica impõem um grande controle e distanciamento para a construção das imagens assim como oferece um resultado “painterly” para a superfície das pinturas.
A importância desta descoberta abriu portas importantes para o desenvolvimento de minha linguagem e conceitos na pintura e se mantém presente em minha prática de atelier.
