Pink Sunshine is now on view at Vienna State Opera, the 24th edition of the “Safety Curtain Project”, a cooperation between museum in progress and Vienna State Opera that, since 1988, transforms the safety curtain of the theater into an exhibition space for contemporary art.
It can be seen by the audience before the performances, during the intermissions and at the end of the performances, until June 2022.This is the first work from a latin american women in the project, curated by Daniel Birnbaum, Bice Curiger and Hans Ulrich Obrist.
For the opening program, the opera’s ballet director Martin Schläpfer has created a choreography inspired by Pink Sunshine, performed by the Brazilian dancer Sinthia Liz, member of the Viennese State Ballet.
